The transmitter Olympiastadion was built in 1951 and dismantled in July 2005, a guyed transmission mast for cellular and VHF radio on the Olympic site in Berlin .
The steel frame construction of the transmission mast was 180.7 meters high and had a square cross-section of two meters by two meters. The dismantling in July 2005 using a helicopter and a special crane was necessary because the mast no longer had any function, but required expensive maintenance .
