The Nador transmitter is located in Selouane , 18 km south of the city of Nador in Morocco and is used by the private radio station Médi 1 to broadcast its programs.
Striking structures are the three 380 m high guyed steel truss masts, over which the program is broadcast on the long wave frequency 171 kHz with a power of 2 MW , which can also be heard in Germany, especially at night. Since the 417 m high transmission masts of the Omega navigation system in Liberia were blown up in 2011, these long wave masts have been the tallest structures in Africa.
There are also several masts on the site for broadcasting the same program on the shortwave frequency of 9.575 MHz.
