Localization of Baden-Württemberg in Germany

The Sigmaringen transmitter (In der Talwiese) is a filler transmitter of the SWR for radio. It is located in the immediate vicinity of the school center, about three kilometers northeast of downtown Sigmaringen . A free-standing reinforced concrete mast is used as an antenna carrier.

From here, the city of Sigmaringen and the surrounding area are supplied with the radio program from SWR4 Baden-Württemberg .

Until the introduction of DVB-T , the television programs Das Erste , ZDF and SWR television were broadcast terrestrially by this station .
