history

Planning and construction

The construction of the transmitter on Trdinov Vrh was planned from 1974. In 1986 the 94 meter high reinforced concrete tower was completed.

Television broadcasting system

The transmitter was put into operation in the summer of 1986 for the first television program of the Radiotelevizija Slovenija . The second program followed three years later. Private broadcasters were added for the first time in the 1990s, so from 1993 TV Novo and from 1994 also Kanal A were broadcast analogously from this station location.

Radio broadcasting system

VHF programs have been broadcast by Trdinov Vrh since 1987. These can also be received far outside of Slovenia, right up to the Croatian capital Zagreb . Radio stations are also broadcast via DAB +.
