Senebsumai was a high ancient Egyptian official in the 13th Dynasty . He probably served under Sobekhotep II to Neferhotep I. Senebsumai was treasurer ( Imj-rˁ ḫtmt ) and thus held the most important state office among these rulers alongside the vizier .
supporting documents
Senebsumai is known from a large number of monuments that attest to its importance and influence. He initially held the office of senior asset manager and was then promoted. However, almost nothing is known of his actual life.
About a dozen steles that name him come from Abydos . There is a bronze statue of him from Hawara , accounts with his name come from Lahun and a fragment with coffin texts comes from Dahshur , which probably proves that he was buried there. More than 30 seals are known of him. According to the treasurer Har, this is the highest number of seals known from any private person from ancient Egypt.
