Sepp Klasen

Josef "Sepp" Klasen (born March 2, 1935 in Höchstberg ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

He attended the Oberrealschule Weilheim and as part of a student exchange the Zelienople High School in the United States . After graduating from high school, he studied law and political science at the University of Munich and passed the legal traineeship and the 2nd state examination in law. After that, Klasen was employed as a government assessor and later as a government councilor at the Upper Bavaria State Insurance Institute with the function of a consultant in the pension department. He was presiding judge of a chamber at the Munich Social Court and a lawyer.

In 1963 Klasen became a member of the SPD. He was a member of the party council and the executive board of the southern Bavaria district as well as chairman of the Upper Bavaria regional association of the SPD and a member of the district council and district committee in the Weilheim-Schongau district . From 1970 to 1990 he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament and spokesman for the SPD parliamentary group.

Klasen has lived in Schongau since 1937 .
