Sepp Schmid

Sepp Schmid (born July 13, 1908 in Laupheim ; † December 8, 1992 in Biberach an der Riss ) was a German architect .

Schmid studied architecture at the Technical University of Stuttgart under Paul Bonatz . He went on many study trips, including to Turkey, Egypt, Morocco, Canada and the USA. From 1931 to 1933 he worked as a site manager, from 1936 to 1943 first in several architectural offices and finally as a freelance architect. After his military service he was 1946–1949 City Planning Officer in Biberach an der Riss and 1950–1951 City Planning Officer in Schwenningen . From 1951 he worked as a freelance architect with offices in Biberach an der Riss and Cologne-Mülheim .

Numerous residential and commercial buildings, churches, schools and kindergartens in Upper Swabia come from him. In addition, he planned and built administrative and industrial buildings for Bayer AG in Leverkusen, Elberfeld and Dormagen, for the Agfa-Camera-Werke in Munich and the Württemberg energy company Energie -versorgung Schwaben , Ueberlandwerk Jagstkreis and Mittelschwäbische Überlandzentrale .
