Seppo Hannula (born May 28, 1946 in Kuusankoski ) is a former Finnish ski jumper .

Career

In 1963 Hannula won bronze at the Finnish Junior Championships. At Holmenkollen in 1964, he finished second in the juniors. He then got the place as a substitute starter at the 1964 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck . However, it was not used. In 1964 and 1965 he won the Finnish junior championship in jumping from the normal hill. He had previously made his international debut at the Four Hills Tournament in 1964/65 . However, he only started on the Schattenbergschanze in Oberstdorf and surprised with a 13th place. But since he did not take part in the other competitions, he only finished the tour in 18th place overall. In the following Four Hills Tournament in 1965/66 he started in all four jumping competitions. Although he only managed 53rd place in Oberstdorf, it went steeply uphill after that. The best result was eighth place on the Paul-Ausserleitner-Schanze in Bischofshofen . His most successful tour with it, he finished 14th in the overall tour ranking. After a year break, he returned to the Finnish team at the Four Hills Tournament in 1967/68 . However, there were no renewed successes.

At the Finnish Championships in 1974 he won his first and only senior title on the normal hill.
