Serena Nanda

Serena Nanda (born August 13, 1938 ) is an American author , anthropologist and professor emeritus.

Life

Nanda was a professor at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice in Manhattan , New York City . Her subject areas of anthropology included in particular the topic of gender diversity and her important textbook on the Hijras in India.
