SerenityOS is a free and open source operating system that is primarily developed by Andreas Kling. It is designed as a unix-like system and has a graphical user interface from the 90s . history
The development of SerenityOS was started by Andreas Kling at the end of 2018. Using screencast software , he regularly records videos of his programming that are posted on YouTube . In mid-2019, the project was published in a repository on GitHub to enable interested parties to collaborate.
SerenityOS was successfully installed and started on physical hardware , but is currently still primarily developed in a virtual machine .
