Serge Brunier
Serge Brunier (* 1958 in Paris ) is a French photographer , reporter and book author who specializes in folk representations of astronomy .
Work and goal setting
Brunier works with Science et Vie magazine and is a columnist on the radio station France Info . He has written numerous illustrated works on astronomy.
He promotes exploration of the solar system by unmanned space probes , but fights against manned space travel .
In his illustrated book Journey through the Solar System , he describes the situation on the planet from the perspective of a hypothetical experiencer.
In the Atacama, Brunier took two years to produce a panoramic view of the Milky Way , which was shown at its first exhibition in the Monte Carlo casino in September 2006 and, with its hundred million (100 Giga = 10 ^ 8) pixels, in 2007 in the Palais de la Découverte has been shown in Paris on 144 square meters.
The International Astronomical Union named the asteroid 10943 after him in recognition of Brunier's contribution to the dissemination of science .
