Serge Oustiakine

Serge Oustiakine (* 1961 in Blagnac ; † November 2, 2013 ) was a French bassist and singer who was active in the hot jazz scene in southwestern France.

Oustiakine worked in the hot jazz and manouche scene in Aquitaine , where he a. a. performed at the Jazz Festival in Marciac , and was a member of Paul Chéron's Banana Jazz , the Tudexo Big Band , the Philippe Laudet Ensemble and the Mississippi Jazz Band . He also led his own quintet. In the field of jazz he was involved in six recording sessions between 1993 and 2011, including a. with the pianist Tierry Ollé and the gypsy jazz guitarist Steeve Laffont . Oustakine, the beginning of November 2013, the consequences of the age of 52 years, cardiac arrest died, located in Saint-Christaud ( Haute-Garonne buried).
