Sergei Alexandrowitsch Mylnikow ( Russian Сергей Александрович Мыльников ; born October 6, 1958 in Chelyabinsk ; † June 20, 2017 in Moscow ) was a Russian ice hockey goalkeeper .

Career

During his career he played with HK Traktor Chelyabinsk and SKA Saint Petersburg . In the NHL Entry Draft in 1989 he was selected in the 7th round in 127th place by the Québec Nordiques . Even before the dissolution of the Soviet Union , he played one season in the National Hockey League in 1989/90 . In total, he was in 391 games in the Soviet league in goal. So he was appointed to the team of the Soviet national ice hockey team. On December 11, 1984 he was in a game against Czechoslovakia for the first time for the Sbornaja on the ice. His international career was crowned with a gold medal at the 1988 Winter Olympics . For the national team he was between the posts in 67 internationals. On April 22, 1990, he played his last international match. In 1985 he was inducted into the " Russian Hockey Hall of Fame ".
