Sergei Alexejewitsch Kapustin ( Russian Сергей Алексеевич Капустин ; born February 13, 1953 in Ukhta , † June 4, 1995 in Moscow ) was a Soviet ice hockey player .

Career

During his career, the striker played for Krylja Sowetow Moscow , HK CSKA Moscow and HK Spartak Moscow . In total, he scored 277 goals in 517 games in the Soviet league . So he was appointed to the team of the Soviet national ice hockey team. On November 5, 1972, he was in a game against Finland for the first time for the Sbornaja on the ice. His international career was crowned with a gold medal at the 1976 Winter Olympics . For the national team, he scored 120 goals in 208 international matches. On December 21, 1985, he played his last international match. In 1975 he was inducted into the " Russian Hockey Hall of Fame ". In the 1982 NHL Entry Draft , he was selected in the 7th round in 141st place by the New York Rangers .

He spent the years 1986 to 1988 in Austria and played for the Innsbrucker EV and the Salzburg EC .
