Sergei Nikolaevich Titov

Sergei Nikolajewitsch Titow ( Russian Сергей Николаевич Титов ; * 1770 in Moscow ; † March 24th July / April 5th  1825 greg. ) Was a Russian composer and cellist .

Life

Like his father Nikolai Sergejewitsch Titow and his brother Alexei Nikolajewitsch Titow, Titov embarked on a military career. He achieved the rank of lieutenant general and was a member of the War Ministry from 1804 to 1809. As a composer he emerged with a ballet and two vaudevilles. He also worked as a cellist and violist. His son Nikolai Sergejewitsch Titow also became known as a composer.
