Alexei Nikolaevich Titov

Alexei Nikolayevich Titov ( Russian Алексей Николаевич Титов * July 12 . Jul / 23. July  1769 greg. In Saint Petersburg , † November 8 jul. / 20th November  1827 greg. ) Was a Russian composer.

The major general of the Guard Cavalry and son of the composer Nikolai Titov worked in St. Petersburg as a successful opera composer . In addition to about twenty operas, he also composed ballets and melodramas . Several operas by his brother Sergei Titov have also come down to us.

Alexei Titov was the father of the composers Nikolai and Mikhail Titov .
