Sergei Walentinowitsch Russinow

Sergei Walentinowitsch Russinow or often transcribed as Serguei Rousinov ( Russian Сергей Валентинович Русинов ; born January 14, 1971 in Novosibirsk ) is a former Russian biathlete .

Serguei Rousinov made his debut in 1997 in his native Novosibirsk in the biathlon world cup . After a 30th place in the individual, he won his first World Cup point as 25th in the sprint. A year later he entered the 3rd World Championships in summer biathlon in Osrblie without any notable success . In the 2001/02 season and the following season Rousinov was part of the Russian World Cup team. His best result came in fourth in a mass start race in Oberhof in 2002 . With the relay (with Viktor Maigurow , Sergei Tschepikow and Pawel Rostowzew ) he was third in Ruhpolding shortly before the Olympic Games . The games should also be Rousinov's only major event. In Salt Lake City , he finished 33rd in the sprint and 31st in the pursuit. After the 2001/02 season, in which he ran eleven times in the points, he finished 31st in the overall World Cup. In the following season he achieved his only World Cup victory with the relay in Ruhpolding. In 2003 he ended his career.
