Sergei Wladimirowitsch Stupin ( Russian Сергей Владимирович Ступин ; born September 14, 1979 in Sverdlovsk , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who has been under contract with HK Saryarka Karaganda in the Vysschaja Hockey League since July 2013 .

Career

Sergei Stupin began his career as a hockey player with Kedr Novouralsk , for whose professional team he was active from 1999 to 2004 in the Vysschaya League , the second Russian division. The defender then played for HK Keramin Minsk in the Belarusian extra league for two years . In the following three years he ran again in the Wysschaja Liga, but this time for Sputnik Nizhny Tagil .

From the 2009/10 season Stupin was in his hometown for Awtomobilist Yekaterinburg in the Continental Hockey League on the ice.
