Sergio Pacheco Sapién (born October 25, 1965 in Guadalajara , Jalisco ) is a former Mexican football player on the position of striker , who started a career as a coach after his active career .
Life
player
Pacheco began his professional career in the 1983/84 season at his hometown club Atlas Guadalajara , where he was under contract for eight years up to and including the 1990/91 season and later for another two years from 1993 to 1995. In between he played for the CD Cruz Azul . In the 1995/96 season he was with the Tiburones Rojos de Veracruz under contract before playing for his other home club Deportivo Guadalajara in the 1996/97 season , with whom he won the Mexican championship in Torneo Verano in 1997 .
After this triumph, he played for the second division clubs Atlético Venados de Yucatán and Nacional Tijuana , where he ended his active career.
In 1990 and 1991 Pacheco made three international appearances for the Mexican national team : on March 20, 1990 a 15-minute mission against Uruguay (2: 1), on May 13, 1990 a half-time against Canada (1: 2) and on March 29, 1990 January 1991 he came again to a 22-minute mission in the 0-0 draw against Colombia.
Trainer
Immediately after finishing his playing career, he was awarded a contract as assistant coach Hugo Hernández in his Exverein Chivas Guadalajara and after his release a few months later, Pacheco was the coach post of the third-rate Segunda División playing CD Tapatío , a branch team of Chivas entrusted. In Torneo Invierno 2001 he reached the finals with his team, which were lost to Deportivo Cihuatlán .
He later worked as a coach in the youth division of Chivas and was responsible for the second team at Tecos de la UAG .
In the summer of 2009 he was hired by the Reboceros La Piedad , but released after a few months.
Since 2010 he has been the assistant coach of the Honduran national soccer team.

Due to the poor sources, it cannot be determined whether there is a relationship to Sergio Pacheco Otero, a player in the first championship team of Chivas Guadalajara in the 1956/57 season.
