The Augraben arises east of Buxheim from the confluence of the Breitwiesengraben and Lohgraben . The approximately 1.6 km long Breitwiesengraben rises from the sports fields in Buxheim. The Lohgraben is about 1.5 km long and has its source on the Buxheimer Feldberg (402.9 m).
