Sergio Verdirame (born August 18, 1970 in Santa Fe ) is a retired Argentine and naturalized Mexican football player on the position of a striker .

career

Verdirame spent his first professional years at his hometown club CA Colón . In 1991 he moved to the Chilean record champions CSD Colo-Colo , with whom he also won the Chilean football championship in the same year , but only came to the league for 85 minutes. In contrast, he played seven appearances (two goals) in the group games for the Chilean cup competition, which was not played until the second half of the year . At that time, Verdirame had already moved to Mexico , where he was under contract with Monarcas Morelia in his first season in 1991/92 . He then moved to CF Monterrey , where he was under contract for four years.

Verdirame spent the 1996/97 season at the capital club Club Deportivo Social y Cultural Cruz Azul , with whom he won the 1997 Mexican Cup . The next season (1997/98) Verdirame spent at Santos Laguna before he played at lower class clubs. In the 1998/99 season these were the Tiburones Rojos Veracruz and Atlético San Luis . Nothing is known about his possible further stations or whether he took or had to take a longer break. In any case, at the end of his active career (2002) he played again briefly for CF Monterrey (2 missions with a total of 23 minutes in which he scored one more goal).

His daughter Pamela Verdirame plays for the Rayadas Monterrey , the women's football team at CF Monterrey.
