Serpentine (musician)
Serpentine (* 12. May 1978 in Olten as January Andri Zimmerli ) is a Swiss singer and composer. The artist name comes from the symbolism of the serpentine street as a way of life.
Jan Andri Zimmerli grew up in Oftringen . After a stay in a rehab clinic, he traveled to Cuba in 1999 and began to write music. In 2005 he got a contract with the Swedish record company B & B Records . In the same year he released his debut album "The Tragedy Of Being Honest", which was mainly known in Scandinavia . In 2007 the album "Beauty Queen" was released with guests Sophie Hunger , Heidi Happy and Fiona Daniel .
Serpentine has performed at the Blue Balls Festival in Lucerne , the Gardening Club London and Rochester Castle Melbourne , among others .
