Kuenschtli.ch ( brand: kuenschtli.ch) is a Swiss independent label from Zurich . The label publishes records, looks after various artists and bands as management and has also been running a music publisher since 2011 . Kuenschtli.ch also works as a booking agency and concert organizer.
history
Kuenschtli.ch was launched as an internet platform in summer 2004. Initially a platform for unknown bands from the local scene, the project developed over the years into an independent music agency with various offers, which is now active far beyond Zurich. The collective has been organized as a non-profit association since it was founded.
Important releases were the 2006 debut album by the indie rock band Fisher (with singer Emilie Welti ), the debut album by My Name Is George , with which the band was voted the country's top Swiss band in 2006 by the radio station DRS3 , and in 2007 the second album by Serpentine . With the release of “Drowning”, the first album by Zurich singer Fiona Daniel , the label's first release made it into the Swiss charts in May 2010 .
In 2007 Kuenschtli.ch received the Migros Culture Percentage Poplabel Award .

Events
Since 2004 the label has organized its own concert series, including a. in the Helsinki Klub in Zurich (“kuenschtli.ch presents”), in the Gaswerk in Winterthur (“The Long Night of Live Music ”), in the Papiersaal ( Sihlcity ) in Zurich (“Tonleiter”), in the Abart Music Club in Zurich (“Whit Sunday Rock Night ”) and in the Moods jazz club (in Schiffbau ) in Zurich (“ kuenschtli.ch presented ”). In addition, the label has been supporting the programming and booking of the Stolze Openair in Zurich since 2009 , where u. a. Bands like Poni Hoax , Phenomden and FlowinImmO have performed.
