The Servatii cemetery is a cemetery in the city of Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

location

The cemetery grounds are located southwest of the historic Quedlinburg old town, west of Wipertistraße. The cemetery is registered in the Quedlinburg monument register.

Architecture and history

Originally the cemetery area belonged to the area of the cemetery of the Wiperti monastery a little further to the east . Similar to the Wipertifriedhof, the cemetery is laid out in terraces in its southern part. There are tombs carved into the rock that are still in use. Some of the tombs are designed in the neo-Gothic style. Elaborate grilles and doors are striking. Two of the 13 crypts are used as urn community crypts .

In the western part of the cemetery there is a cemetery chapel built in 1934/35 based on a design by Herbert Puls . It was provided with lead glass windows created by the Ferdinand Müller glass painting company. The cemetery is operated by the Evangelical Parish.

Since 2009 there has been a children's grave field in the cemetery , where star children are also buried.
