The house Wipertistraße 1, 1b is a listed building in the city of Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

location

The building is located northwest of the Quedlinburger Schloßberg on the corner of Alte Topfstrasse . The house is registered in the Quedlinburg monument register as a residential building.

Architecture and history

The two-story plastered building was built in the second half of the 19th century. The facade of the lower storey is decorated with striped rustica. Various decorations can be found on the facade of the upper floor. There are window canopies and belt , window sill and console cornices . The north-western corner of the house is beveled and decorated with a representation of a woman's head in a medallion.

A single-storey, elongated workshop building in massive construction runs along Wipertistraße. Remarkable is a quarry stone wall with buttresses, which could be remnants of the Quedlinburg city wall. There is a monastery coat of arms dated 1625 on it.

There are other buildings in the property's courtyard, such as a two-storey, plastered house with a steep half- hipped roof from the 18th century and a half-timbered house from the 19th century .
