The pine wood warbler ( Setophaga pinus , Syn . : Dendroica pinus ) is a small bird from the genus of the wood warbler ( Setophaga ) in the family of the wood warbler (Parulidae).

Male pine warblers have olive top plumage, yellow throat, and yellow chest. The rest of the underside plumage is white. The wing covers are dark gray with two white wing rods. There are faint darker stripes on the flanks and in the lower chest area. Female pine warblers have olive-brown upper plumage. In the rest of the plumage they are similar to the males. Overall, the plumage is more blunt.

Pine warbler breed in open pine forests, including in southern Ontario and in Québec in the northeast of North America . They spend the winter in the southeast in the United States , such as Florida , in northern Mexico and in the Caribbean .
