Severin Lüscher (born April 13, 1963 ; resident in Moosleerau ) is a Swiss politician ( Greens ). He has been a member of the Aargau Grand Council since December 8, 2015 .

education and profession

At the old canton school in Aarau he attended the ancient language-humanistic grammar school and in 1983 obtained the Matura type B (Latin, Italian). He completed his studies in human medicine at the Medical Faculty of the University of Bern , which he completed in 1990 with the federal medical examinations ( state examination ). In addition to the medical officer school, he used an interim year from 1988 to 1989 for a study trip to Mexico and Peru . The doctorate to Dr. med. He obtained his degree in 1995 at the Institute for Medical History at the University of Bern under Urs Boschung.

Political career

As the first substitute candidate, he was taken into duty as a councilor on December 8, 2015 and re-elected in 2016. There he is a member of the Health and Social Work Commission (GSW). Severin Lüscher was a co-founder of the Green Party in the Kulm district in 2008. From 2008 to 2019 he was Vice President of the Board of Directors of Argomed Doctors AG, which works with health insurers to develop and implement so-called family doctor models in terms of coordinated care. From 2003 to 2010 he was responsible for the Ecumenical Mission Development (OeME) department of the Reformed Church Schöftland.

After the great tsunami of December 26, 2004 in Southeast Asia , he performed a mission in April – May 2005 under the patronage of the PanEco Foundation in the destroyed Meulaboh , Aceh Province, Sumatra.

Private

Severin Lüscher was born as the eldest of four children to a teacher couple. He is married and has two adult children.
