Severo de Sales

Severo de Sales López (born November 28, 1940 in Guadalajara , Jalisco ) is a former Mexican football player who mainly played in midfield . He was under contract with Club América from 1961 to 1970 and won the Mexican cup competition twice in a row with the Americanistas and again a year later the first championship title in the club's history in the professional league introduced in 1943 .

Severo de Sales also played in 1968 for the San Diego Toros in the North American Soccer League and in 1969 made five international appearances for the Mexican national soccer team .
