The Sewa is a river in Sierra Leone . It is formed at Bagbema from the merger of the Bagbe and Bafi rivers in the Eastern Province . Over a length of 209 to 240 kilometers, it flows southwest and forms with the Waanje finally the Kittam , the other 48 kilometers in Sherbro - estuary of the Atlantic flows.

Its catchment area is given as 14,141 km² and 19,022 km².

The Sewa is only partially navigable due to the numerous rapids .
