The 82 km long Seward Glacier covers an area of about 1300 km², which extends between the mountain ranges of Mount Logan in the north and Mount Saint Elias in the south. In the west, not far from the US-American border, it meets the Columbus Glacier at an altitude of 2080  m , which drains the area in a westerly direction. The Seward Glacier initially flows 50 km in an easterly direction, with a width of up to 20 km. Then he turns south. As an outlet glacier about 5 km wide , it falls to a height of 670  m before it merges into the Malaspina glacier , which finally flows into the Gulf of Alaska .
