Sextile

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Sextile sign

A sextile is the astronomical constellation in which two celestial bodies form an angle of 60 degrees in the sky to each other. Since there is no particular astronomical phenomenon associated with the sextile, this aspect does not play a role there, in contrast to conjunction , quadrature or opposition , but it does play a role in astrology .

In Unicode , the astrological sign is included as U + 26B9 sextile in the block of various symbols .

Meaning in astrology

The sextile is an invitation to action, because from the point of view of the astrologers there is currently a potential that does not unfold automatically. The opportunity must be seized, which is wasted if one hesitates. If the challenge is accepted, there is the opportunity to learn in a pleasant way and broaden your horizons, as well as to train and permanently strengthen your natural talents through conscious encouragement.

Other use

With digital Canon - SLR the sign stands for freezing the automatic exposure.
