Seydou Keïta (diplomat)

Seydou Keïta (* 1934 ; † 1985 in Kindia ) was a Guinean diplomat .

Life

Seydou Keïta was a cousin of Mamadi Kéita and Hajja Andrée Touré , the wife of Ahmed Sékou Touré . He studied economic planning in Paris.

From January 1970 to 1971 he was ambassador in Bonn . Operation Mar Verde , in which the government in Conakry believed the German government was involved , fell during his tenure . He was ambassador in Rome from 1971 to February 1978. In 1973 he became director of Intrsomgia SA From September 15, 1976 to February 1978, he was ambassador to Paris . On April 3, 1984, during the presidency of Lansana Conté , he was arrested and executed in Kindia 15 months later .
