Venues

At the draw on November 8, 2016, Belgium was assigned to Pot 4. Belgium meets Denmark in the first game in group A , then Norway and the hosts and neighboring Netherlands . Against Denmark there have been eight defeats in ten games so far and one draw and one victory each, this at the Algarve Cup 2016 . The balance against the other two opponents is also negative: against the Netherlands there were only three wins in four draws and 20 defeats in 27 games and against Norway in eleven games only one win and one draw with nine defeats. The last victory against the neighbors was on August 23, 2000. The only victory against Norway, on the other hand, came at the last encounter so far on May 23, 2015, when the Norwegians were preparing for the 2015 World Cup. Even before the draw, Belgium had agreed to play friendly matches against the Netherlands and Denmark on November 24 and 28, 2016, the first being won 3: 2 and the second being lost 1: 3.
