Sfinksen ( Norwegian for Sphinx ) is a nunatak in Queen Maud Land, East Antarctica . It rises 1.5 km south of the pyramid at the southwest end of the Ahlmannryggen .
Norwegian cartographers named it descriptively and mapped it on the basis of aerial photographs and measurements of the Norwegian-British-Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1949–1952).
