Shōhei Abe ( Japanese 阿 部 翔 平 Abe Shōhei ; born December 1, 1983 in Chiba Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

Abe learned to play soccer on the school team at Funabashi High School and the university team at Tsukuba University . He signed his first contract with Nagoya Grampus in 2006 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . With the club he became Japanese champion in 2010. For the club he completed 226 first division games. In 2014 he moved to league competitor Ventforet Kofu . For the club he completed 67 first division games. In 2016 he moved to the second division team JEF United Chiba . He made 33 league games for JEF. In March 2017 he returned to Ventforet Kofu. At the end of the 2017 season, the club was relegated to the J2 League . For the club he completed 29 league games.
