Shūto Yamamoto ( Japanese 山 本 脩 斗 , Yamamoto Shūto ; born June 1, 1985 in Morioka ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

society

Yamamoto played for Waseda University in his youth . He started his career at Júbilo Iwata , where he played from 2008 to 2013. In 2014 he switched to Kashima Antlers . He contributed to winning the J1 League in 2016 . He finished second with the team at the 2016 FIFA Club World Cup . Two years later he won the 2018 AFC Champions League with the team .

National team

Yamamoto was appointed to the Japanese national soccer team in 2017 and was used in the 2017 East Asian Cup .
