The Shabogamo River is a 19 km long left tributary of the Ashuanipi River in the center of the Labrador Peninsula . It is located in the river system of the Churchill River .

River course

The Shabogamo River forms the drain of Shabogamo Lake . Above this is Wabush Lake , on the banks of which is the small town of Labrador City . The Shabogamo River flows south from the northeast end of Shabogamo Lake and empties into the Ashuanipi River. The confluence is 17 km north of its outflow from Ashuanipi Lake .

Hydrology

The Shabogamo River drains an area of ​​about 3700 km². The mean discharge is 61.4 m³ / s. The highest monthly discharge usually occurs during the snowmelt in June with an average of 162 m³ / s.
