Shabtaie Ice Ridge is a press ice ridge in Marie Byrd Land in West Antarctica . It lies between the McAyeal and Bindschadler Ice Streams and extends to the border between the Siple and Shirase coasts .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named this object in 2003 after the geophysicist Sion Shabtaie of the University of Washington , who studied the neighboring Mercer , Whillans and Kamb ice streams and the press ice ridge between them from 1982 to 1984 and from 1985 to 1986 had made.
