Shade Empire is a Finnish dark metal band.

Band history

Shade Empire was founded in Kuopio in 1999 . Their third demo CD aroused the interest of the Italian label Avantgarde Music , which released their debut album Sinthetic in March 2004 . The successor Intoxicate OS was released in May 2006 on Dynamic Arts Records . The accompanying single Slitwrist Ecstasy reached number 3 in the Finnish charts, the album number 25. Also this year, Shade Empire played the first concert outside Finland at Popkomm at the Kulturbrauerei Berlin on September 22nd , with Subconscious, Sabaton and Diablo as opening acts on. Juha Harju has been bassist and singer for Ajattara since 2007 . On March 12, 2008, the third studio album Zero Nexus was released . The album was mostly recorded in Studio 33 , but the vocals with Pasi Koskinen in Perkele Studios . Sami Niittykoski took care of the mix .

Music genre

Shade Empire call their style "Hybrid Metal". The music is made up of a multitude of elements from different metal genres. The main part of the music comes from the genres Black Metal and Death Metal , with Symphonic Metal also having a large share. There are also elements of electronic music . Dimmu Borgir is often mentioned as a comparative figure .
