Shahrad Nasajpour (born September 1, 1989 in Iran ) is a track and field athlete in disabled sports ( class F37 ). He specializes in the throwing disciplines with the ball and the discus . Nasajpour is a refugee and lives again in the USA , where he received asylum in 2015 .

Athletic career

Nasajpour was born with cerebral palsy in Iran and started athletics there in 2007. Originally he wasn't interested in sports, but through contact with a coach he found pleasure in it

In 2011, Nasajpour competed for Iran and took second place at the IWAS U23 World Games with 38.10 meters in the discus throw.

In 2016 he was with the Independent Paralympic Participants and their flag bearer at the closing ceremony. In the discus throw he came in 11th place.

In 2017 Nasajpour improved to 9th place at the World Championships .

In 2019 he was the only participant in the refugee team at the World Championships . In the shot put he had no valid attempt and came in 7th place in the discus throw with a personal best of 46.30 meters.
