The General John Shalikashvili Mission Command Center , or Shali Center for short , in Wiesbaden houses the Combined Operations Intelligence Center of the US Army Europe (USAREUR) on four floors . The building is located in the clay barracks in Wiesbaden-Erbenheim.

After full commissioning, all around 30,000 soldiers of the US land forces in Europe will be commanded centrally from the new headquarters , which is located on the grounds of the Lucius D. Clay barracks in Wiesbaden-Erbenheim .

The building was commissioned by the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). In a construction period of just 27 months from January 2010 to April 2012, the Stuttgart-based plant manufacturer M + W Group, as general planner and contractor, worked with Ed. Züblin AG , a subsidiary of STRABAG , took over the building as a subcontractor . The M + W Group was mainly responsible for planning, project management, project control and construction management up to the turnkey handover to the US Army, while Züblin carried out all structural work on its own with mostly its own staff from Thuringia and Saxony.

The construction costs of the property, which is designed for 1,100 workplaces, amounted to 95 million euros. The building has a gross floor area of 25,000 m²; the dimensions are 95 m long, 80 m wide and 25 m high. It received from the US Green Building Council seal of approval LEED Silver ( L eadership in E nergy and E nvironmental D esign) awarded.
