The ladhar bheinn ( hill of the hoof (claw) on Gaelic pronounced larvae ) is a 1,020 meter high mountain in Scotland . It is located on the west coast on the Knoydart Peninsula, which is part of the Council Area Highland . The Ladhar Bheinn is the westernmost Munro on the Scottish mainland.
Although the Ladhar Bheinn is difficult to access on the remote peninsula, it is one of the most popular mountains for British hikers and Munro collectors . The distinctive shape and extensive curved ridges contribute to this popularity.
The Ladhar Bheinn can only be reached via long approaches through rough terrain. Climbs are possible from Inverie on the south coast of Knoydart in about six hours via the Gleann on Dubh Lochain or the Gleann na Guiserein. From Kinloch Hourn at the end of Loch Hourn , the mountain along the south bank of Loch Hourn via Barrisdale can also be reached at this time.
