Shanghai is a computer game that Activision launched in 1986 for various home computers and game consoles . It is probably the first title that brought the board game Mahjong to the home screen. Since then, many implementations have appeared, for example as open source software or even with operating systems in the scope of delivery.
Gameplay
The player must clear the stones according to the rules. As a reward you can see an animation that varies depending on the system.
regulate
The playing field consists of 144 stones with different motifs, such as dragons or turtles . Game pieces can only be removed in pairs if they are not covered by others and at least one elongated side is free.

Remarks
More than 500,000 games were sold worldwide by 1991, making it extremely successful at the time.
The title was named after the Chinese metropolis Shanghai .
