Shanghai Darts Masters

The Shanghai Darts Masters is a darts tournament that is organized by the PDC as part of the World Series of Darts . The competition will be held for the first time in 2016 at the Himalaya Theater in Shanghai .

The Dutchman Michael van Gerwen is the record winner of the tournament with two titles

format

The field consists of 16 players. These are the top 6 of the PDC Order of Merit and two other wildcard players who are determined by the PDC before the season and are seeded at each of the World Series events. In addition, eight local qualifiers will compete in the tournament as unseeded players.

The tournament will be played in a knockout system . In the 1st round the game mode is a best of 11 legs . The quarter-finals, the semi-finals and the final are all played in the best of 15 legs mode.

Prize money

The prize money for the Shanghai Darts Masters was not officially announced.

Since this is an invitation tournament, the prize money won will not be taken into account when calculating the PDC Order of Merit.
