The Shanghai International Finance Center ( Chinese  上海 国际 金融 中心 ) or Shanghai IFC for short is a building complex in the Pudong district in the center of the Chinese city ​​of Shanghai . The complex essentially consists of two skyscrapers, a north and a south tower.

The Shanghai IFC North Tower ( Chinese  上海 国际 金融 中心 北 塔 , Pinyin Shànghǎi Guójì Jīnróng Zhōngxīn Běitǎ ) is one of the taller skyscrapers in Shanghai at 260 meters and 56 floors . Construction began in 2004 and the building was completed in 2010.

The tower is the headquarters of the HSBC bank in China.

The Shanghai IFC South Tower ( Chinese  上海 国际 金融 中心 南塔 , Pinyin Shànghǎi Guójì Jīnróng Zhōngxīn Nántǎ ) is also one of the taller skyscrapers in Shanghai with 250 meters and 58 floors . Construction began in 2004 and the building was completed in 2009.

The tower serves, among other things, as a hotel building for the Ritz-Carlton chain .
