Shabnam Ruhin (* 1991 in Hamburg , Germany ) is a German-Afghan soccer player . She plays for the Afghan national team.

Career

Club career

Ruhin has played as a defender for Unity Wilhelmsburg since April 2007 and in the ESV association league team since 2010 , with which she became champion of the Hamburg district league in 2012 and the regional league in 2013. In Wilhelmsburg she plays with her sister Mariam Ruhin .

National team

Ruhin has been a member of the Afghan national team since 2011 and took part in Sri Lanka in September 2012 and in the South Asian women's soccer championship in India in December 2016 . In the summer of 2018, she resigned from the national team due to oppressive regulations by those responsible for the Afghan Federation in the course of the sexual abuse involving the former association president Keramuddin Keram .

Personal

Shabnam's sister Mariam also plays for the Afghan national soccer team and for Unity Wilhelmsburg . Shabnam has been studying at the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg since 2014 .
