Sheikh Tidiane Faye

Sheikh Tidiane Faye (born February 19, 1948 ) is a former Gambian high jumper .

Life

Tidiane Faye won the bronze medal at the British Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh in 1970 with the jumped height of 2.10 m. In these games he took part in two other competitions: In the long jump he was eliminated with 7.02 m in qualification, and in the 4 x 100 meter relay he was part of the Gambian team, which was disqualified in the preliminary run .

In 1973 he won silver at the Pan-African Games with 2.04 m, and in 1974 he was seventh at the British Commonwealth Games in Christchurch with 2.05 m.

On November 1, 1974, he set the current Gambian record in Banjul with 2.18 m.
