Shin Seiki Evangelion: kotetsu no girlfriend ( Jap. 新世紀エヴァンゲリオン鋼鉄のガールフレンド, Shin Seiki Evangelion: kotetsu no Gārufurendo , dt ". Evangelion : friend from steel") is a Japanese Adventure series of Gainax . A manga was also released for the second game, which is known in Germany under the title Neon Genesis Evangelion - Iron Maiden .

Shin Seiki Evangelion: Kōtetsu no Girlfriend
The first part appeared for Windows 95 in 1997. It is a midquel to the television series and introduced a new character with Mana Kirishima ( 霧 島 マ ナ ), voiced by Megumi Hayashibara .
A conversion for Macintosh was released on February 13, 1998 , for Sega Saturn on March 19 and for PlayStation on April 16 . On March 30, 2006 a special edition was released for the PlayStation 2 and on September 19 for Windows.
Shin Seiki Evangelion: Kōtetsu no Girlfriend 2nd
On May 16, 2003 a sequel was released for Windows. Its plot is independent of that of the first part and takes place in the alternative world from episode 26 of the television series in which the main characters sometimes have different roles and behaviors.
In 2003 a manga was published based on the game, which was also published in Germany. The publisher was broccoli .

Shinji lives with his parents, with whom he has little contact as they mostly work in NERV's Geofront Laboratory, in Neo Tokyo-3. He goes to class with Toji, Kensuke, Asuka, Kaworu and other children. Misato Katsuragi is the class teacher and Akagi Ritsuko is the school's doctor. Rei is a bit more open, not quite as calm, but you can tell that she has no life experience. Shinji, Rei, Asuka, Toji and Kaworu as well as Kensuke control the EVAs and fight the angels .

The manga was published by Kadokawa Shoten in Asuka magazine from 2003 and drawn by Fumino Hayashi . The story was later summarized in six tankōbon . The series appeared under various titles from 2005 in Newtype magazine in the USA, Brazil and Mexico. The manga has also been translated into Italian.
In Germany, the series was published by Carlsen Manga as Neon Genesis Evangelion - Iron Maiden in full. The translation is by Alexandra Betz.
