Shingo Ueno ( Japanese 上 野 真 吾 , Ueno Shingo ; born November 12, 1973 ) is a former Japanese ski jumper .

Career

Ueno competed in his first international jumping on January 11, 2002 in the Continental Cup in Sapporo on the normal hill. Just one day later he was able to jump to the top places for the first time on the large hill with 5th place. After he achieved a good result in the second competition on the hill with 6th place, he was nominated for the national group for Japanese World Cup competitions and was on the squad for the first time on January 24, 2002 in Hakuba . He finished jumping in 43rd place. The following day he was able to reach number 38 in Sapporo. After further jumping in the Continental Cup, he jumped again on January 23, 2003 in Hakuba in the World Cup, but could not reach the 2nd round again. In the following competitions in Sapporo he was only 50th and last. For two more years he was only used in jumping in the context of the Continental Cup, before he was used again on January 21, 2006 in Sapporo as a national jumper and in this jumping first reached the 2nd round and at the end of the 25th place. A day later he was 13th and achieved his best World Cup result. However, it was his last World Cup so far. Since then he has only jumped a few competitions in the FIS Cup . On March 5, 2007, he jumped his last jump so far on the Zaō hill in Yamagata, Japan .
