Coordinates: 18 ° 13 ′ S , 127 ° 40 ′ E The Shire of Halls Creek is a local government area (LGA) in the Australian state of Western Australia . The area is 143,030 km² and has about 3250 inhabitants (2016).
Halls Creek is located on the northeastern border of the state to the Northern Territory about 2000 kilometers northeast of the capital Perth on the border to the Northern Territory. The headquarters of the Shire Council is in the village of Halls Creek on the Great Northern Highway , where about 1500 people live (2016).

The Halls Creek Council has seven members. They are elected by all residents of the Shire. Halls Creek is not divided into districts.
